Richie Barker has said he was pleased with the spirit of the team as we closed the season out with a 2-2 against Hartlepool.

Speaking to the Official Site after securing the late point the gaffer said the game was a testament to our season.

‘The 90 minutes sums up our season, some excellent football, loads of possession, the odd bit of sloppy defending but the width of a post away from being a really good side. We played some fantastic footall, there was a great work ethic by the players and if I’m honest, we deserved to win the game.’

Crawley finish the season in 10th place, which is a fantastic place to end our debut season in League One.

‘I would like to thank the fans for their support throughout the season, we’ve enjoyed every second of it and I hope they have too.’

Consolidation for next season, with the hopes of some small improvements will be on the cards for most.
