The loan of Mitch Hancox has been extended, with this confirmed on the Official Website this week.

Hancox, who came in from Birmingham in September, has so far made seven appearances for Crawley and scored his first goal in professional football against Leyton Orient in an impressive win.

This loan extension will take him through until 28th November, which of course pleases Crawley boss Mark Yates who has voiced his appreciation to his parent club Birmingham for allowing this extension.

He said.

‘We’re delighted to be able keep Mitch for another month. His experience and skill have helped settle the team down in recent weeks and he’s a very popular member of our squad.

‘I’d like to thank Gary Rowett and his staff at St Andrew’s for letting him stay with us. He is getting regular games which is what the loan was all about.’

This is a loan that’s worked well for all parties and, all being well, will continue to do so for however long this remains the case.

I’m not sure if this extension will be the last the Reds will be able to secure?
