Crawley battled back from two-down to secure an away point on Saturday afternoon.

Coventry City, who were two-up anyway, could have been out of sight by the time the Crawley comeback started and we went on to claim a 2-2 draw at the Ricoh Arena.

With just a minute on the clock the signs of a difficult afternoon were there for us as John Fleck struck the post.

Coventry didn’t have to wait too much longer to take the lead though as Jim O’Brien’s freekick, saved by Jamie Ashdown, was followed up by Josh McQuoid (14) to put the home side ahead.

By the half hour mark the game seemed virtually over as Simeon Jackson (27) doubled the lead.

Minutes later we were back in the game as Gwion Edwards (33) curled an effort into the top corner to give us hope of a revival, two-one down at the break wouldn’t have been too bad would it? We had other ideas though!

Izale McLeod (37) made it two-two four-minutes later as we capitalised on the pressure the home side put themselves under.

There weren’t any further goals but had you offered John Gregory a two-two draw before the game he would have happily taken that, definitely with half an hour played and two-down!
