Crawley suffered defeat in our friendly game against Fulham earlier today.

Two first half goals from Felix McGath’s side, Kostas Staflydis and Hugo Rodallega, consigned us to defeat and proved to be the difference in what otherwise was a fairly balanced affair.

It was the first proper chance for fans to see our new look Crawley team, and nine of our new signings took to the pitch for manager John Gregory.

It was a strong Fulham side, but Gregory would’ve certainly taken positives from the game and how we played, because we did have good chances of our own to have reduced the deficit or maybe even got back on levels terms really.

The two goal difference was pretty harsh on the team, who were punished for switching off twice ultimately, but that sort of sharpness and consistency will come with fitness and further games, so it’s nothing to be overly concerned about at this stage really – especially given the quality of our opponents.

Another good run out, positives and things to work on, but that’s ultimately what these games are about.
