A two-goal deficit was overturned by Crawley on Saturday as we battled back from the death to earn a point against Scunthorpe United.

With a little under 15-minutes to play, and two-goals down, another Broadfield defeat was on the cards but we managed to battle back to ensure we earned a 2-2 draw.

Luke Williams and Gary McSheffrey had early chances before Paddy Madden (25) put the visitors ahead. Sonny Bradley’s slip saw Williams go through to give McSheffrey a chance with Madden finishing past ‘keeper Lewis Price.

Bradley, who headed over, and Dean Leacock, who volleyed over, had chances to level before the break but it was the visitors who went into the break one-up.

Andrew Boyce almost headed home the second before Lyle Taylor (55) got the finishing touch to McSheffrey’s cross to double the lead and leave us with a mountain to climb.

Izale McLeod was denied by ‘keeper Sam Slocombe before Leacock (76) headed home a Ryan Dickson cross to give us hope, with the chance to secure a point coming four-minutes later when Dickson was brought down by Jennison Myrie-Williams in the area.

McLeod (80) stepped up to dispatch this past Slocombe and earn us a two-two draw.
