Crawley are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Rhys Murphy in Crawley’s three two victory over Dagenham and Redbridge at Broadfield Stadium at the weekend was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Murphy was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘It wasn’t too long ago that front man Murphy made his way into our Team of the Week, and he’s been included again following another brace. His first came courtesy of a fine header, and he doubled his tally with a fierce effort from outside the box to help Crawley to a 3-2 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Murphy for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Frank Fielding (Bristol City), Damien McCrory (Burton Albion), Tom Aldred (Blackpool), Luke Chambers (Ipswich Town), Alfie Potter (Northampton Town), Liam Noble (Notts County), Conor Hourihane (Barnsley), Danny Mayor (Bury), Rhys Murphy (Crawley Town), Marc McNulty (Portsmouth), Francois Zoko (Yeovil Town).

Manager – Shaun Derry (Cambridge United).
