Crawley Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Crawley Town in the three nil victory over Swindon Town at the weekend at the Country Ground was enough to earn them a place as manager of the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Kewell was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘After kicking their season off with three defeats, Crawley were bottom of the table going into their trip to Swindon Town, who were sitting top. However, the form book was flipped, with Kewell`s troops registering a 3-0 win, getting the Australian his first points as an EFL manager.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Kewell for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Joe Fryer (Stevenage), Charlie Mulgrew (Blackburn Rovers), Shaun Hutchinson (Millwall), Sid Nelson (Yeovil Town), Kyel Reid (Colchester United), Kamil Grosicki (Hull City), Alex Woodyard (Lincoln City), Kalvin Phillips (Leeds United), Gwion Edwards (Peterborough United), Frank Nouble (Newport County), Tom Eaves (Gillingham).

Manager – Harry Kewell (Crawley Town).
