Crawley’s League 2 season continued with a win against Newport at the Broadfield Stadium on Tuesday.
A two-nil win not only saw Crawley to a win against Newport it also meant the Reds completed the league double over Warren Feeney’s side.
Scott Boden put Crawley ahead shortly before the break when he headed past his own ‘keeper Joe Day. Shamir Fenelon added the second early in the second half with Newport ending with 10-men when Medy Elito was sent off late on.

Having last week beaten promotion contenders Portsmouth (who drew one-one at Exeter) a week later Barnet (one-nil) did it again at home with automatic promotion chasing Plymouth seen off at the Hive!
For Plymouth though as most of the possible challengers to a top three finish they’re on for couldn’t pick up wins it didn’t impact too much with only the side they seem likely to battle for the runners-up spot behind Northampton (who drew one-one with play-off chasing Wimbledon) Oxford (four-nil) winning heavily against York.
A Hartlepool (four-one) loss at Bristol Rovers, who are fighting to go up, increases the relegation worries Craig Hignett’s side have whereas Yeovil (one-nil) continue to move towards safety with a win at Huish Park against Accrington.
