Crawley Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Jordan Roberts in the two nil victory over Yeovil Town at the weekend at the Broadfield Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Roberts was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘The decision to move Roberts into a more advanced role has paid dividends for Crawley boss Harry Kewell, who watched on as the midfielder-turned-striker bagged a weekend brace. A neat finish early in the first half put the Reds in front, before combining with fellow strike partner Enzio Boldewijn to wrap up a 2-0 win.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Roberts for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Brendan Moore (Rochdale), Joe Martin (Stevenage), Troy Brown (Exeter City), Anthony Stewart (Wycombe Wanderers), Levi Sutton (Scunthorpe United), Alex Rodman (Shrewsbury Town), Tarique Fosu (Charlton Athletic), Siriki Dembele (Grimsby Town), Jordan Roberts (Crawley Town), Charlie Wyke (Bradford City), Shaq Coulthirst (Barnet).

Manager – Kevin Nolan (Notts County).
