Crawley, as we had earlier in the season in the league against our league 1 rivals, weren’t able to beat Yeovil Town again as our FA Cup campaign ended at the first hurdle.

An early goal from the hosts was enough to give them a 1-0 win at Huish Park.

With just a couple of minutes on the clock Sam Foley almost curled Yeovil into the lead but his effort came back off the post, much to our relief.

Yeovil soon took the lead though with Joe Walsh not strong enough to hold off Jordy Hiwula (7) who went through, rounded Jamie Ashdown and rolled the ball into the empty net.

The home side had the better of the game all in all with an effort from distance from Matt Harrold, that went wide, and Izale McLeod having our only really efforts. McLeod might have done better when beating ‘keeper Jed Steer to the ball but it wasn’t cometh the hour cometh the man as his effort went over.

With that went our FA Cup hopes….
