Crawley Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Josh Yorwerth in the two nil victory over Mansfield Town at the weekend at the Broadfield Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Yorwerth was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘The Crawley Town defender turned in a Man of the Match display in the Reds` 2-0 home triumph against Mansfield Town. Yorwerth set the tone for a terrific afternoon by clearing a CJ Hamilton effort off the line, providing a platform for victory on an emotional day ? the first home outing since Dermot Drummy`s passing.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Yorwerth for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Sam Johnstone (Aston Villa), Josh Yorwerth (Crawley Town), Matt Clarke (Portsmouth), Dan Burn (Wigan Athletic), Cristian Montano (Port Vale), Jack Byrne (Oldham Athletic), James Maddison (Norwich City), Billy Bodin (Bristol Rovers), Kemar Roofe (Leeds United), Sammy Szmodics (Colchester United), David Ball (Rotherham United).

Manager – Nigel Adkins (Hull City).
