The run of wins that Crawley had been on ended with us beaten late on at Broadfield by Gillingham, the defeat on Saturday saw us drop back into the bottom four after Notts County drew against Scunthorpe.

A late winner denied us a share of the points and saw Gillingham go away with a two-one win and all three-points.

With half time approaching, and Elliot receiving treatment off the pitch so we were temporarily down to 10-men at the time, Dack (40) put Gillingham ahead five-minutes before the break.

McLeod (63) continued his goalscoring form of late, going past Gillingham defender Egan then beating ‘keeper Morris, to make it one-one just past the hour.

Gillingham won the game, to deny us a valuable – even if it wouldn’t have been what we wanted – point in the final 10-minutes when Dack crossed into McGlashan (81) who headed home the winner.
