The 2014/15 league 1 season moved into the second weekend with Crawley in action again, at home on this occasion.

For a third successive game, and a second in the league, Crawley recorded a 1-0 win as they saw off the challenge of Swindon Town at Broadfield on Saturday afternoon.

Louis Thompson came close to scoring for Swindon from 25-yard but Brian Jensen saved well, tipping the effort over.

McLeod, for us, and Yasir Kasim, for Swindon, were both unable to hit the target but Kasim’s effort was deflected wide

Ben Gladwin put over for the visitors before Gavin Tomlin was denied by Swindon ‘keeper Wes Foderingham and McLeod finished poorly again in a goalless first half.

Massimo Luongo would have headed Swindon into a lead early in the second half had it not been for Jensen with our chance to take the lead then coming….

With McLeod clean through he was brought down by Thompson, not only was a penalty awarded for us Thompson was shown a red card for a professional foul. McLeod (51) took this and scored his third goal in as many games.

Kasim brought another save from Jensen with only the bar denying Gwion Edwards a goal to secure the win, but one-nil was enough for us again.
