Crawley were unlucky to exit the league cup in midweek with us hoping to end our losing run in league 1 as well.

Milton Keynes Dons suffered no league cup hangover to their stunning four-nil win over Manchester United as they ran our 2-0 winners at the Stadium MK.

Had it not been for the post then Daniel Powell would have put the home side ahead, as it was this goal soon came as Dele Alli (15) followed up to score after Brian Jensen had saved from Powell.

A great chance to level came for us when Izale McLeod was brought down by our former defender Kyle McFadzean, who was sent off, and we were awarded a penalty. McLeod took the responsibility himself against the club he has had two spells with but he saw this saved by David Martin.

The 10-men of MK Dons almost added another as Benik Afobe hit the post from a freekick but the points were secured by MK Dons in injury-time when Afobe (90) finished well.
