It’s cup action for Crawley on Tuesday as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy gets underway for another season.

We were unlucky to get knocked out of the league cup but Crawley could really do with a morale-boosting win as we look to avoid a JPT first round upset at Broadfield against league 2 outfit Cambridge United.

Matt Harrold debuted from the bench in our two-nil defeat at Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday, so he could make his full debut tonight but Bobson Bawling is being assessed after coming off in that game.

Josh Simpson hasn’t played since the opening day so could miss out again as will Connor Essam who left us by mutual consent on Monday.

Cambridge look like being without Kwesi Appiah (dead leg) and Harrison Dunk (hamstring) after they missed the five-nil mauling of Carlisle United at the weekend but Jayden Stockley marked his debut with a brace so should continue.
